Hi, First Post
by AuroraB inhey there.
i'm new to the forums and just had to say hi, and thank you to all of you who've shared your stories which have let me know finally and for sure that i'm not crazy and nowhere near as abnormal as i've been feeling...well, forever, really, but more so over these last few years!!!
i can't tell you what a good feeling that is, but i suspect you already know.

Welcome, great to have you here.
You will survive and you will make new friends in time. It may take a while to find ones you really click with or you may find them very quickly. All friendships take time though and there is no short cut but as others have said there is so much more choice outside of JW Land and people will appreciate you for who you are and not just because you believe exactly the same as you do. Unconditional friendship-so refreshing and liberating.
Wishing you all the very best. Look forward to hearing more from you.
Sam
PS If you're anyway near Southern California or London, I'll be your friend..... -

Aren't we all responsible for the success of the Watchtower Society?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inraymond franz was a member of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses from 1971 until may 22, 1980, and served at the organization's world headquarters for fifteen years, from 1965 until 1980. franz wrote and edited two detailed books which relate his personal experiences with the watch tower bible and tract society and fellow members of the jehovah's witness organization.. .
after reading ray franz's books,i held him and his fellow members responsible for all the false teachings.
i also wasn't forgiving any of them even if they found out that it wasn't the ''truth'' and left the organization.now i changed my mind.

Maybe, but we can all be responsible for its demise, by taking a stand against it.

OK Guys and Dolls, want your input here.
A friend of mine has a question......
"The brothers in Bethel/Headquarters seem very sincere and loving - what possible motive would they have in trying to deceive people, what do they get out of it?"
Personally my answer would be power, as they do not seem to exactly raking it in but how would you answer? -

Besty pointed me in the direction of www.jwfacts.com which opened my eyes fully to the truth about "the truth", he then showed me this site and I've been hooked ever since and posted the first day I came here.
It went a long way towards helping me not to fall apart completely. -

by Alleymom inhi, everyone ---.
claire asked me to let the board know that ian is back in the hospital and expected to be there for about a week.. those of you who have been following the weekly vigil thread know that his cmv has returned.
the virus is not responding adequately to the tablets, so ian needs to be medicated intravenously.. please keep ian and claire in your prayers.. marjorie.

The sister I hated is becoming a beloved....
by FreedomFrog ini have 3 sisters and a brother.
my sister that was 2 years younger than i am, we didn't get along.
since i was the oldest, i tend to take the rap for whatever happened.

That's fantastic.
I'd wager a bet that you're her hero.
Don't be too hard on yourself - the past is gone, the present is a gift.
I never got on with my sister that well - the age gap was 6 years and our personalities were so different. I used to feel she was cramping my style. LOL.
Now, we are both out of the org and are the best of friends - I love her to pieces.
There's nothing like family when you love and support one another unconditionally.
Hope you have some special times ahead with her. -
